"I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart...In my heart I have but one desire, and that one is you, no other will do..." - The Ink Spots.

During a little break at work I was hanging around for a good spot to take some pics, when I noticed this. I almost lol'd because I'm  working in that place since 2006 and I'm pretty sure it has been there the whole time and I've NEVER saw it before, so I had to take the pic. This backpack looks like it has been melted in the stone, becoming a part of it and both components couldn't exist without each other. I don't know how it came but it looks like a pic taken from a post-apocalyptic scenario, with white dust everywhere, during nuclear winter. Every time I look at this pic I can't help but think about Megaton, the city from Fallout 3 (one of the best games I've ever played). The caption it's a part of my favourite song lyrics, from the soundrack. And yeah, I'm back on it, playing Fallout New Vegas these days ;)

Eradication

Fuck yeah. It has been a LONG time without posting anything, but hey, I didn't stop to take and edit pics. I'm just fucking lazy, lately, always focusing on other things (like gaming, computer and yeah, that childish stuff). First of all: I'VE FUCKING LOST MY FUCKING COOL GALAXY S2 DETACHABLE LENS, so no more fancy pics from here and on, just the simple "flat" look :(

I'm posting this pic first of all because a friend of mine asked me some explanations about it...so here we go. I was planning to take a pic of something similar a few months ago but for some reasons I didn't. A few time later I was lucky enough to find a lot of webs like this one, filled by MILLIONS of microscopic water drops. I just love this kind of spider's web, it looks almost incorporeal and you have to go pretty close to see its essence. It moves with every wind's breath but still, it doesn't break at all.  Shame that this is the best result I can get with my poor setup, but it's ok. I've chosen this detail because of the branches. It looks like they are trying to escape from their prison, to eradicate themselves from their binds, pushing with huge efforts. I feel like this many, many times so I thought that this pic belongs to me in may ways. The caption came by itself. Like many others of my pics, it's a song title. Eradication, by All Shall Perish :)

"I could never let you go, my darling cold and blue. I wonder, are you dreaming still spread eagle, blood removed?" - TBDM.

I think this is my favourite pic I've taken/edited, since now. It's my personal tribute to one of the band I'm listening wildly since a few years: The Black Dahlia Murder. Lately, it happened more than once that I've been inspired to take photos by a song...and the song in question is freakin' awesome. I'm not going to talk about the god-like drumming in it and how I could come only listening to the bass drum. Shannon Lucas is unhuman, that's all. Ok ok, I'm missing myself already. I don't usually read the lyrics of what I listen to and I know it's quite uncommon since tons of people think that lyrics are at least 50% of the song. Well, you should read a grindcore/deathcore-band lyrics sometimes. They are kinda pointless even if pretty brutal and cool, but still, pointless. Nonetheless, these ones kinda blew my mind. I don't know if it's true but it seems that Trevor (the singer), is referring to one the most macabre real-stories I've ever read about. I don't know if you are interested in these kind of details, but you can google "Carl Tanzler" and read about him on Wikipedia.

I think that the wood in this pic looks fucking incredible, especially because it's not a wood. It's just a "simple" mansion garden where I have to bring the mail. And yes, I've felt a total idiot while posing like that. I've been lucky enough to build a quick "shelf" with a package to put my phone on, and it took just 3 or 4 shots to have a decent one before disappearing from there. Then once at home, I asked my sister to pose for the second part  of this work. Actually, the whole pic instead of her is in HDR. I needed her to be more clear and sharp. I'm posting a non-filter version here because I've found that even if colors are better in the Instagram one, the overall quality it's a bit ruined. Nevermind.

Stargaterade

Points of view are quite funny and I've discovered this thing during a lunch break at work. This last August was sick and I had to drink like 2 bottles of Powerade every-fucking-day. Not that I'm a Powerade fanboy, it's just because it was the only ice-cold drink that I've could buy at the supermarket. The blue one still tastes pretty good to me. And ofc, I LOVE blue. That day I was seated and enjoying my sandwiches when suddenly I looked down at the almost empty bottle. I can't explain accurately my thoughts but I think that the shots could do it. This is what I saw. At a certain angle that bottle looked everything but a bottle. It was like a Stargate or similar, like I could jump inside of it and discover a new dimension (maybe a better one?) The magical blue liquid did a big part of the job. I love how it reflects on the inside and neck...and since I love to merge words to create stupid things, here is the title. Powerade + Stargate = Stargaterade.

"Sit and stay awhile, talk to me about that things that make you real."

This incredible, sweet creature is from a litter of kittens born a few months ago. A client of mine own and lovely take care of 'em, and when I have some minutes to spend, even if I'm at work, I go find them and have my cuddles time :3 This was during a fucking hot day, weather was sick and I think that this baby's look speaks itself enough. After some minutes of cuteness I took my phone to start taking some pics. During that time he didn't care that much of me and had a short cat-tongue bath eheh. But then, suddenly, he looked at me with those eyes...I'm still glad I've pushed the button with perfect timing. When I had to choose a title I wasn't in my best mood (and quite without ideas, indeed) and I remembered of a fucking sick song that I used to listen all the time, in my school period: Velvet Alley, by Strung Out. That shiny red thing under him is a plastic chair, so I think that the final part of the lyrics fits perfectly for this picture. This is one of my best HDRs so far. I love how the pelt looks like mithril/silver and the overall result, bust most of all, the eyes. I really hope to make something this good again, in the future.

Ra-ven-sburger!

Ok, now imagine yourself at a Gas Station, early in the morning, like 7:04 am (I wake up at 6:18) and while your car is having the most expensive fucking breakfast of planet, you turn back and see a sky like this. Luckily I wasn't holding the pistol in my hand or I would sprayed at least 15€ of gasoline on the ground to reach my cellphone as fast as possible. Just the time to set my wide-angle and this lovely dawn was already "mine". Most of the mornings my mood is horrible and I know, I'm living terribly wrong. But still, a sky like this can make me smile and forget all my wrong thoughts for some minutes. And oh, what the fuck. Every time I look at clouds in this pic I can't help but think at the old Puzzles Commercials on TV, when I was a child. They ended ALL the times with a singed spelling of the European market leader Ravensburger.

Broken Idea

Let's talk about randomness. Uhmm I took this one the day I was back from my summer holidays I think, or something like that. Well, it's not very important to be honest. I wasn't posting pictures since 2 weeks or so and I was running out of ideas a bit. Then I saw THIS. A garden lamp. A fucking garden lamp you know, one of the most stupid subjects I could choose to take a photo, and of course, I did. I was pretty sure that the result would been horrible, the pic was kinda mediocre and not at the best quality, but when I started to edit, I admit I was a little impressed. Nothing special heh, but I loved how this average thing has assumed an own personality. I've looked a lot at the spiral inside, hoping it would suddenly turn on and shine in a cold blue-silver light. Since the lamp is a representation of the "Idea" I still would like to have a switch on my cellphone (or somewhere else) to turn it on and off when I'm bored, but this is life: some days you have plenty of Ideas/thoughts and you can make 'em shine for you and everyone is watching in your direction. On the contrary, some days you have to accept that even an Idea could be broken and wait silently in the shadow, like this one.
